How long does setup take?
Most mills are live in a day. We import your farmers, buyers, products and opening stock from Tally or a spreadsheet, set up godowns and rates, and train your team. The one-time setup fee covers this.
Do my operators need a computer?
No. Grano runs in the browser on any Android phone — even a ₹8,000 one on 3G — and installs like an app. Each person picks Tamil, Hindi or English.
We already use Tally. Do we have to stop?
No. Keep Tally for accounts and use the Operations edition, where no one sees prices. Or run accounts in Grano and export vouchers and masters to Tally for your CA.
What happens when the internet drops?
Entries are kept on the phone and sent automatically, in order, when the signal comes back.
Is our data safe — and is it ours?
Yes. Each mill's data is walled off from every other mill, every change records who and when, and nothing is ever deleted — only voided with a reason. You can export everything to CSV at any time.
Can operators see our purchase prices?
Only if you allow it. The owner decides, role by role, who sees prices, approves stages or records payments. In the Operations edition nobody sees money at all.
Does it connect to our weighbridge?
Yes. With the weighbridge connector add-on the weight is read straight from the indicator. Without it, operators type the slip weight in about 30 seconds.
